Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was reached following an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.

The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

A Dual Career

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
