Miami recorded eighty-six opening half scores against the Grizzlies

The Heat secured a decisive 146-114 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies in their initial basketball game since guard Rozier was detained for suspected unlawful sports betting.

Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups was also detained as part of a broad FBI investigation into sports betting. Both men deny the allegations.

But, the Miami team were focused as they put up eighty-six first-half points to be ahead of the Grizzlies by 39 at halftime, the biggest halftime lead in the franchise's 37-year existence.

Adebayo top-scored with 24 scores and later said Terry had the support of the team.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra commented: "Terry is somebody who is important to everyone. He's had a beneficial influence on our locker room.

"We send our thoughts and our care for him as he goes through the situation."

The Trail Blazers additionally won their first game since the arrests, with Brazil-born Tiago Splitter taking over as temporary head coach in Chauncey's absence and guiding the team to a decisive 139 to 119 win over the Golden State Warriors.

"We all had positive times with Chauncey and his coaching style," Tiago said. "Our thoughts are with him and his loved ones but our focus is on the game."

NBA Commissioner Silver 'Disturbed' by Arrests

Addressing the detentions for the initial occasion, NBA commissioner Silver said he was "deeply disturbed" by the incidents of the past few days.

"Therefore, we've been working with them from that point. And, of course, what they revealed recently was an charge.

"Moreover 30 months after, he still hasn't been convicted of anything, in justice to Terry.

"Clearly, it doesn't look good, but he's been suspended, and so it is a compromise here between protecting people's rights and investigating."
