Young golfer getting ready for major competition

The rising star boasts impressive social media presence

Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known supporters as she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns several golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she stated.

Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply stay calm."

"My grandpa basically advised me to play and have fun," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments recently and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

However she can get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.

"He represents the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."

The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in the sport at the competition, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Officials commented that her participation brings golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans.

The social media influencer maintains a massive following and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living brand.

She begins at 17:30 GMT.
